Catherine Behrent Description

CATHERINE BEHRENT (b. 1947)

Catherine Behrent has had more than 20 solo shows. She has also received grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, Maryland State Arts Council, and numerous others.  Her work has been exhibited widely in this country, including the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and internationally. Permanent collections include the Smithsonian, J.C. Penney and Banc One. She is a recipient of the MICA Excellence in teaching award and is Co-Chair of the Foundation Department.
