Lamar Briggs Description

LAMAR BRIGGS (1935-2015)

Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, Lamar Briggs attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and the University of Houston. He graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art (now Art Institute of Colorado) and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2005. While in Houston, Briggs worked at Channel 13 KTRK-TV, where his artistic pursuits were encouraged and supported by Willard E. Walbridge, president at the time.
