In her first solo exhibition at Reaves | Foltz Fine Art , Mason-based (formerly Lubbock) artist Laura Lewis will be featured with an astounding body of work devoted to capturing the essence of the West Texas Landscape as well as scenes of the Texas High Plains.

After being on hiatus for over a year while working exclusively on a large-scale mural for the new Chevron Corporation campus in Midland, this exhibition serves as a re-introduction to the artist who has since returned to painting full time.

These new works depict scenes of broad landscape vistas, farming implements, and agricultural industry. Additionally, works reflecting the development of the oil industry in the Permian Basin will be on display, including the large-scale maquette for her recent mural project Lewis installed in Midland.

Of note, Lewis will also be exhibiting a group of fresh works that blend realism with abstraction in her depictions of the river bed clay patterns and water reflections.
