Harold Bugbee: A Brand of His Own Here Now!

March 5-27- Harold Bugbee, A Brand of His Own.  We are very excited about the opportunity to bring this show to Houston.  It is a rare collection of Bugbee's western paintings and drawings from 1918-1958, and they go up just in time to celebrate the Community Western Heritage Challenge (in conjunction with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo)!  Bugbee was an important twentieth-century artist working in our state "between the wars".  Aside from Frank Reaugh, Bugbee was one of the very few "Western artists" working in the state during the heyday of the state's ranching economy.  He is truly the "Charlie Russell" of Texas!
