Gallery

William Reaves Fine Art offers stellar works by prominent Texas artists of the twentieth century, focusing particularly on artists who were active in the state during the period of about 1900-1975.  The gallery is especially dedicated to the rediscovery and presentation of early works by Houston and South Texas artists, as well as artists working elsewhere in the state during the 1950’s through the 1970’s.

The gallery seeks to assist its clients in building exceptional collections of Texas art.  We are prepared to provide personal service to established collectors, as well as cultivating and supporting new collectors. We aim to be attentive and responsive, and we are committed to absolute integrity in all transactions.

The gallery mounts regular shows that feature the work of artists we represent.  To promote interest and to foster knowledge of earlier Texas art and of artists who were working in the period, the gallery hosts related community events. Collectors, artists, and art lovers gather to meet each other, to learn about the history and happenings of the era, and to share what they know. In addition, the gallery supports scholarly research and publication on earlier Texas art and artists, since we believe that expanding the written history helps to preserve this rich period for all.
